Question more or less condoms and oral contraceptive pills?

Hey guys, how effective are condoms if you don't use oral contraceptive pills? My friend told me it's something like 9% but I don't know if that's true. With perfect use it is almost 98% percent. With typical use, it is closer to 85%. You enjoy to use them every time, the whole time.
Better sheltered than sorry: use a second form of birth control, too.
actually its around 99% if used properly. But why pilfer a chance, use both.
