Question in relation to birth control?

I started taking birth control pills a couple of years ago, to help effortlessness the pain, mass & frequency of my periods (I be having 2 a month and they be extremely painful). At the time I was not sexually live, so obviously it's with the sole purpose purpose was to aid regulate.
Now, however, I am sexually active. The problem I'm have, though, is that my pills are not as effective as far as the cramping, burden, etc, anymore. I've tried taking the midol as well as other over the counter dull pain meds to help, but none really work too in good health.
So my question is...Is it ok for me to skip period with my pills? I know I don't own to have a length every month, and I wouldn't be skipping every single one (maybe every other or something). Would it mess up the effectiveness of the pills, or would I be okay?
Serious answers just please...Thank you. For your health it is better to still menstruate, for your condition it is actually better to quit taking synthetic hormones completely. (see links below)
You might want to look into colloquial remedies to allievate the pain.
use condom
